My team has a long history of starting out slow. Usually by the end of the 1st Qtr I am screaming MOTY or some other four letter word... It is usually not a factor and in the 2nd qtr the team starts rolling along. Thank god I can't make changes during the game...

I think it is to do with the player excitment or something like that...lol

How deep is your depth chart?

It seems to me when I use a 55-man DC, my team gets stronger in the second half. When I cut back to about 50-man DC by dropping off less talented backups, it seems they play more evenly over the 60 minutes.

Could just be my imagination, though.

I have most times also a slow start in the first half. I hope allways that my team has the first snap in the second half, when my RBs start the turbo. Unfortunatly I can't rest my starting RBs in the first quarter.

Put your secondary on top in the DC, and avoid subst for the 1st half

Thx for the suggestions but I was really just venting...
just MOTY jumpy.

Ill stick with my game plan as I seem to win more than I loose. And just let the downhill running grind up my opponents

I noticed that too sometimes, but starting with reservers doesn't look to be a good idea in my opinion.

Moved a couple of second string players to the yop of my deptchart just to see what will happen...and by second string I still think they are better or as good as most peoples starters
