I hope you do enjoy the season as much as I do so far because we do witness something extraordinary right now.
Nick Saban did create a National Title Machine the Football world has not seen since Bear Bryant and we also might see the start of a great BIG10 rivalry between Ohio State and Michigan we have not seen since the 70s under Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes (this might be too early to pick, but Meyer vs Harbaugh is a great matchup and might decide the BIG10 for some time).

Dominance by Alabama, Ohio State, and Michigan reminds me of the stories that my dad and uncles told me about 70s college football. It will be interesting to see if the other former super powers from that period (Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, USC, Notre Dame) stabilize, rise up and join the party. I don't think that Oklahoma is too far off, but the others appear to be stuck in a mire. With the rise of the Florida schools, the opportunity to poach players isn't as great as it was 35+ years ago which makes the gap that Alabama, Ohio State/Michigan are creating between themselves and the rest of the country so remarkable.

Sabans work is brilliant. It's so unlikely that a sigle teams wins this days so many titles in a row, but still he does it.

That youth game loss sounds brutal. 2-0 . I feel so bad for the lineman who had the penalty called against him. I hope that he wasn't too hard on himself and the other guys didn't chastise him too much for his mistake. In hindsight, we have the ability to see many missed opportunities, but in the moment, we make mountains out of molehills.
