I like the SuperCup in many ways , I always compare it to the Regional Cup in G*I ....... and the SC wins hands down in almost every aspect , but I think the one big problem with the SC is the numbers .... it just doesn't quite add up....... (keep reading to see why !
 )
There are currently 645 Human Managers (notice that I didn't say 'Active' Managers  ) .........
so ... as only 48 Teams qualify, this means that 645 - 48 = 597 teams don't qualify ...... i.e. 597/645 * 100 = 92.5% of Teams will not Qualify. (Admin will no doubt reply ... "That's the way it should be"  ).
But those numbers mean that there is little motivation in the SC for a number of smaller/medium Teams ..... imagine getting drawn in a SC group with Turtle, JonnyP, Panoramix, Notsch etc .... for most teams this would mean you can immediately see that you're going home early. 
So, what's the solution ? Difficult....... but at the moment, the solution that I still favour is the "48 Teams qualify for a 'Repechage' Tournament' ..... see This Post |

That's the way it should be
The supercup is much worse than you are telling... Only 1 out of these 645 humans is able to win...I say: we change the format to have 645 winners...who wants his trophy...next pls...queue on this side pls...

Maybe $100k for every position - so $1.5 Million to the winner? |
