I only use 9 players max. I have 5 cb, 2 ss, and 2 fs. I think my defense is pretty darn good.

On DC or total?

Never mind - you have 7 CBs and 7 SFs.

depth chart. I have more otherwise...but they are lambs to be sold later on.

You can only have 55 on your depth chart. That leaves 15 players beyond that. There is more than enough roster space for a team. I would actually say that there is too much space available if anything. I get myself in trouble because of my itchy trigger finger on the TM. I end up buying players just so I can train and sell them later.

Consider this hypothetical roster:

3 qb
5 rb
7wr
10 ol
4 te
3 fb
10 dl
8 lb
8cb
6 sf
1k
1p

That is 66 players with 4 more spots to go.

The above roster is sufficient for each position, generous even.

So here's a question.

Let's say you have 4 CBs on the DC and one gets hurt ingame and then you call the 4-1 - who subs for the 4th CB?

This might have something to do with why the 3-3 is unpopular - maybe some people have 3 SFs on the DC, one gets hurt and you end up with a K playing in one of the 3 SF positions.

It would seem important to always leave a few spots open on the DC so that when players get injured ingame, the right sort of player steps up from the rest of the roster. Or does this become a problem with rosters in excess of 55?

If I have a roster of 60 and 53 in the DC, and I have 4CBs in the DC and 5 all up, a CB get injured ingame, do I definitely get the 5th CB from the roster stepping in? Or is the 54th and 55th spot chosen randomly at game start?

So in summary, if you leave a few spots open in the DC, and have a roster of 70, does the game pick the best players from the reamining 17 to suit the situation i.e. the injured?

What about is this suggestion? Roster spots or DC spots?

Don´t forget this is the suggestion forum not the discussion.

I was suggesting that either all DB be thrown into one position group or that there be some interchanging between CBs and SFs without the OOP penalty.

I am more emphitic about it now in light of the past few posts. I don't want punters in my secondary thanks!

If this is the suggestion, than let us wait for the answer of the Admin. I know the answer.

I am sorry, but I won't follow this suggestion, even I understand very well where you are coming from.

If you are short of a position, just deal with the OOP. It is not a real penalty, more a restriction to make it more challenging.

It is a complete game play changing. you have to redesign the trainer system because you only need then one DB AC. That compares with a change of the CPs of ACs and a change of developing players in the YA (less extra training points).

I think this is also needed with a new balancing of the ingame effect of AC´s...

And I don´t know why you need it. if you have a 53 men DC you have 2 free spots. So use them for more DB´s and that´s it.
