I like to see a limited # times you can bid on the transfer market.
Supposingly, you put the max you want for a player and wait.
So, far we are limited to max bets, 50% or 1/2 bet and such.
This is too keep outragous bids going thru the roof i guess.
Still the guys with the lesser pocket book have no shot of acquiring higher class talents and the bids still go thru the roofs.
Is there a way to put a limit to have many times you can bid on a player. If you go on a bid war, then this puts the manager in thinking mode to conserve his bidding.
What you guys think???

I am not for limiting it because there acquiring funds is easy to start with and build up a stock pile. Lesser pocketbooks? I think that within 2 seasons a decent pile can be built to pick up good talent. 3 seasons and you have enough to shop for the big ones. Just use the money wisely.

Really though, new teams shouldn't be able to buy superstars cheap anyway.

Thats easy to get around. The smaller players will bid pushing the price up to around $5m then you will find the 1-2 season guys will bid against one another push it up further to around $25m, then the 2-3 season players will bid getting up to $50m plus leaving the biggest players to bid against one another to pay the usual price.

I see a player I like I'll put a low bid in so he appears on my bid list then with a few hours to go ill check that player and if its still within my range I ready myself for a war. But I have lost count of the number of times that players a, b and c have gone against one another pushing it ever closer to my limit only for themselves to be priced out leaving players x, y and z to go against one another and pay over $100m for a player.

No it's not fair but neither is the fact that last year my local pub "soccer" team couldn't compete with Manchester City and pay £40m for Sergio Aguero. I think he would of done well last season for my local pub

Understand both sides, not all of us are into selling TurtleWax.
Saving $$ is a tough task, for me it is. There not enough profit from merchandise. And since i went to HR dept and went to contract mode. I had to re-work everything. And relegating down to 1.1 was the only thing thats helping, by winning games > income.
I only sold 1 draft player, that was early on, so i could build the stadium.
Im up to 25 mill, but must wait it out. I did notice, early in the mornings, it is possible to snipe people at a lower price.
The kiddies go to school.

I'm not sure how you have built your team, but you have been here since Jan. 14th. That would be about halfway to three fourths of the way through season 2. By this time you should have a decent bankroll going.

The main reason you don't seem to have enough funds all the time is because your stadium isn't maxed out. You realize you get over 8 million a home league game with a maxed stadium, right? You are at 2/3 capacity now. So you are losing at LEAST 3 million a league game. 8 home league games at 3 million a pop is 24 million. You are also losing out on possible sc money, unless you are playing at your opponents place and they are maxed. Friendlies at your place aren't making what they should either. If you made the playoffs and were the home team it is even worse what you are losing. I checked your season last year and you had 16 home games. You would split it with your opponent. Instead of splitting 8 million you are more like splitting 5 million. So 16 times the difference of 1.5 million is 24 million.

So each season for the last 2 or 3 seasons you have missed out on at least 48 million a season. Within 1.5 to 2 seasons a person can max the stadium. If you sell a draft player you can immediately do so.

You should have had from 90 to 150 million more total by now.

There is a snowball effect as well. Because you can't earn as much you also can't buy as many or high quality players, which will further push you behind. You then don't win as much and and as such you miss out on possible playoff $$$$. First round of playoffs is 1.25 times the regular income then 1.5 the next round, and 2 times the amount in the conf championship game. League championship is triple! Even relegation is 1.5. SC playoffs also have multipliers in them.

If you had purchased perhaps 3 real high quality players on the transfer market with the missing funds you could have been even more successful over the last few seasons and made the playoffs to earn even more money! Remember back in season 2 and 3 that players were under 90 million, even draftees. Take the approximate 60 million you spent on the TM with the 150 million then you could have gotten some top notch talent when it was cheaper and maybe one now that it is expensive.

I hope this helps....

I've been here since mid April, and my bankroll is +100 million, and I have from early on been putting a lot of money into coaches salaries, which is just a priority to me. My point being it should be easy to have a substantial bank roll after 2 seasons, if money is put into finishing the stadium, and that should always be the first priority.

Great advice but you are a bit pessimistic on the stadium build time. When I joined in April my team was 0-14 and played all its SC games. By game 14 of season 4 I had a maxed out stadium and I was still spending in the TM. The rest of the advice is sound though
