Frankly I'm kind of baffled that this is a controversial subject in a football sim. Just about every other football game that I am aware of uses height and weight in some way.

There is only one question we did not find an answer yet

How to add H/W in a way for EXISTING players without any harm for those managers spent "years" in putting a cool roster together...

Yes, I can certainly see how that would be a difficult issue to address!

Really ? They're probably all like G*I .... just put some Height/Weight figures on each player but basically ignore the figures after that ..... good idea though, it keeps the masses quiet .... and I'm all for that

Ok, here we go...again

First task is: add height and weight for each of these positions, as range

QB
RB
FB
OL
WR
TE
DL
LB
CB
SF
K
P
G
KR

Let's see if our community can finish this task without sarcasm, bad style arguing, attacking, offending, killings...

Yes, you can!

The idea is: if we are able to find "the optimum per position", we could this for the existing players, and this optimum would let you use the player as per today. This is the first step...

Now show me we can have serious discussions, trusting you

Aren't you confusing 'optimum' with 'average' or 'range' ??

If Wes Welker and Calvin Johnson are two of the top NFL WR's then how can they both have the 'optimum' Height/Weight per position when they clearly have a totally different physique ?

an 'average' seems to be what you're asking for here....... but great players aren't average and average players aren't great.

OK, average.

But if we can agree that players are average, we could think about how to go further

And if the influence of these 2 skills is not the game-decision-maker...

OK that will deal with the current squads but what about the new players coming in? Obviously height and weight is going to have an effect on physicals.

Wouldnt labelling every player in existance now (plus the draft as a lot of people will have already completed this) make it a non entity if we have to wait until season 7 for it to come into existance? And then it would only be the draft and YA players of the day. All the current players will be walking around with the average height and weight. Wouldn't that be boring? Especially as we would need to wait 3-5 seasons for it to really come into its own

One step after the other, please...without knowing about ranges and averages, any further step is too early

In my opinion Pete lets get the new engine perfect first before we even consider dicsussing this topic as this is going to take some serious writing into the game

We made some progress on the engine already. The other thing: if we will ever come to an agreement on this H/W thing, it will for sure take months...and more months before it becomes implemented.

So why not talking about it?
