I'd like to have the option, in the case I won a Div II conference or a SB, to decline promotion for the next season.
I'd also like this to work for relegation games so that if the Div II team declines, then the Div I team wins the relegation game by default. Exception - if you win either conf or SB, 2 years in a row, you cannot decline (including relegation game). |

There is one question. Why should it be changed that way? What are the benefits for who?

It is simply to negate the possibility that someone deliberately loses such games to avoid promotion. So to get a truer Div II playoff series.

The only reason you would want to stay in 2.x, if you had the chance to play 1.1, is to win a trophy. So why would you lose the play offs deliberatly?

So winning teams that didn´t want to promote to league 1 benefits from this change.
The losers could be the newbe teams who promote via bot flush and see that they are not competetive with the other league one teams. So they couldn´t go down to the 2nd league where are more similar teams like theirs. Do you think users who allways lose will stay long time in RZA? Another Example: A team of League 2 wins the League Bowl and decline the Promotion. It is only one time possible. What do you think would this team do the next year if it wants still stay in league 2? |

But still make it a rule so they can't have their cake and eat it i.e. win a Div II title (after success the previous year) and also stay in Div II to enjoy the present, possible financial benefit. With the extra money available in the playoffs, promotion to a division where you lose ticket sales due to poor performance during the season, and also miss the playoffs, there is simply too much disadvantage to being a Div I team that isn't playoff bound. Imo. THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH MONEY IN THE PLAYOFFS! |

Make my example clearer.
S5 Team A wins League Bowl League 2 decline promotion S6 Team A lose conference final and relegation game League 2 S7 Team A wins League Bowl League 2 decline promotion S8 Team A lose conference final and relegation game League 2 ... and so on. That´s what you want. Where is the benefit for the game? Only Team A benefits alot by the playoffs income. At the moment teams you mean allways have to lose their conference final. You suggest only that these teams should collect titles in league 2. But this is complete against what the majority wants. This was one point why the spectators were limited for League 2 at the beginning of the season. Teams should promote to league 1. That´s the will of this rule change. Your one is complete the opposite. Of course my team will benefit alot from such a change but is it the best for the game? I don´t think so. |

Anyone doing that, for that long, would be a laughing stock! Perhaps any team that makes the playoffs 2 years running cannot disable botflush promotion or any other? |

Sorry mate but if you win the bowl you should be promoted regardless of if you are ready or not. To decline promotion is just crazy in my opinion |
