I am bottom of my league, i will probably come out better from it than all my seasons finishing a div winner. i miss the playoffs but the drafts will be higher grade. if i couldnt keep them i would still make a huge profit on the TM negating the other teams 70m.

Now hang on, the point of the other team's $70M was that they could keep their better players for that season. So you now have $70M that you can...................sit there and look at. There are 2 completely different salary caps here resulting in 1 roster being clearly better. It's that simple.

oddball wrote:if i want ot keep them i can always sell YA players and probably still make more than 70m. this again comes down to not seeing any real disadvantage from finishing bottom of the div or tanking.

The other guys are doing this to.

Im in the top two or three ranked teams in admirals 2.2. Number one in my conference but financial revenues this season there probably isnt much difference between myself and Oddball. I think that needs to change to make 1.1 more attractive. My salary is nowhere near half of what anyone in the top 100 in this game pay yet in the offseason I lose nearly $2m an update. I can guarantee you by mid season that $70m is wiped out.

Personally why shouldnt the most successful teams get rewarded financially for being successful. They have earnt it afterall.

Keeping the best players does not mean that you will automatically win either. Look at my friendly cup results and then check my ratings against those who I have played. Dapper Dandies actually have the highest payroll in all of RZA yet I went to his place and won 28-6 the other week. Lucea Cardinals over 10% better than me beat me 24-3. I'm no tactical genius at all but I use every bit of knowledge I have to try to get that playing field as even as possible.

Last season I was getting hammered by teams not as good as those mentioned above and now I am closing that gap.

Look at my division two of the sides are better than me but look at the head to heads since I joined this game. Won 6 Lost 1 and that was the first match up. Tuesdays game was the closest either of those sides have come to beating me since that first game.

Why should they?

In any case, it seems some want the "sense" of realism on the one hand, but don't give a stuff about the real world salary cap somehow.

How much extra money compared to others do you think the best teams should get due to playoffs in SC, league and CofC?

$10M ?
$100M ?
$500M ?

How much extra do the deserve?

They get the extra ticket revenue and if they win it theres a bonus but that isnt that great compared to the money being thrown about.

Remember these teams will hit their salary cap before you or I do just because there isnt an official cap in place it doesnt mean that there isnt one. Ok they may sell a player or two but these players ll strengthen other sides

So bottom line you want to limit playoff revenue, right?

Yes.

If the winners of finals/SBs got $10M and the runners-up $5M, and all other games were simply paid as league friendlies, then that would be pretty well ideal imo.

Funny how the concept of a "salary cap", that is supposed to be the same for all, seems to be lost on so many!

Even 500M! Despite it's totally impossible, but more to win on field is better. It's money to win by. Not by starting the game in first season, not by having strongest squad, but by winning biggest games.
Salary cap in real world may be needed, here it isn't and let it go normal way.

It's almost as if money is more important to some people than trophies!

Well...you are the one that brought the money up...

Anyways, seems a bit self serving to put a suggestion up that would affect those ahead of you negatively and you not at all. Why is it that you feel so strongly that a winning team has to be limited by your standards of income?

Most of your suggestions (there are plenty ) seem to focus on making the playing field so even that everyone is able to compete for the championship wether it is the first season for them or the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th. Is that where you are aiming? I ask seriously, not to antagonize or be a smart mouth. Perhaps that is the difference between the opinions here?

I personally don't believe that something should be nerfed or buffed just to make everything even. Too much....oh I won't go into that yet...
