1st in my heart is my beloved Kent County Cricket (dad, watch me go) and Monkey will shoot me down for it
Kent finished 3rd in the 2nd Division and avoided promotion . Lots of medicinal cider later I have emerged from my lair to scream at the television as the Dolphins show the real world how it should be done Jason Taylor can be a happy camper in my bed any day I hate tennis and even netball..... those tall leggy girls at school are freaks lol... I long for Spring and the return of humane sports. .... Kent for Division 1, 2013 Last edited on 2012-09-28 12:35:14 by Bazza |

i couldnt believe how you guys choked against Glamorgan - ok it wouldnt have mattered in the end as Derbyshire beat Hants and Yorkshire mullered Essex but for saying that was your clutch game you sure choked it!
I used to be a member at Derbyshire CCC so was delighted to see them get promoted - not sure how long they can stay there for but at least it shows what can be done with some investment into local cricket and a sound youth policy. My teams though, in order of importance to me 1) Derby County FC 2) Washington Redskins 3) Derbyshire CCC 4) Washington Capitals 5) Dunfermline Athletic Currently LOVING the Ryder Cup - possibly my all time favourite sporting event. C'mon Europe!!! |

Great to see someone else disliking tennis, I can't stand the sport.
As a kid I was an Aston Villa and Warwickshire CC fan, but now I just follow the national teams, preferring to blow my money on taking part in sport rather than watching it - the only sport I watch live now is rallying/rallycross.... but I'd love to see the Eagles play at least once! My own mediocre attempts at sporting prowess may have to go on the back burner over the next few years though, as my 8 year old daughter is currently proving to be invincible at Judo, and in just over a year she has already accumulated an impressive array of trophies - including an invitation to compete with a GB squad in Holland (which we unfortunately had to decline). We train together as a family, which I hope encourages her to keep working at it - as kids that age can be so fickle. There's a crucial moment next weekend - she will be fighting for the 1st time at Under 28kgs, having been in the Under 25kgs class up until now - potentially against girls 1-2 years older than her. Can she cope with losing, as she is not used to it? |

C'mon Europe!!! Did you know thay we have a PGA license holder in Admirals 2.2? I have a passion for Liverpool FC, Worcs County Cricket Club, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Red Wings although I do have a soft spot for Montreal Canadians (both teams from playing EA Sports Hockey game on the old Megadrive and later the play station). Baseball I like the Miami Marlins as they was the first team I saw when Channel 5 used to show the baseball. Last edited on 2012-09-28 17:15:00 by bwadders76 |

They just don't have the story that other franchises have, very young franchise to be honest. And must not be very inviting to play in a close to empty stadium 85% of the times. This season they invested alot of money in a couple of players like José Reyes and Mark Buehrle and also Heath Bell, those guys where supposed to come and help a contending team, LOL, nope, they end up trading Hanley Ramirez a player that started of his MLB career as a superstar and makes enough money to be called just that, but just doesn't perform anymore. To had insult to injury they have Ozzie Gillen as the Manager. Don't get me wrong I like his style, but he is a manager that can be very disrespectfull of his players and that causes fractions, which was what happened. Basicaly they were supposed to be contending for the postseason, yet they are in last place of the NL East Division with a 66-90 record. Guess you can't wait for hockey season to start... |

it was 1997 I dont think they had won it before when I watched them. I have a small liking for the Red Sox but thats only because of their owners also owning Liverpool.
I havent really been keeping up with baseball recently to be honest though |

Baseball the one game ive never got into - have tried but just failed - just - dare i say - very boring.
Full agree with wadders - the teams you get into when they arent domestic sports are biased towards the teams you first see on tv or get used to on XBox or PlayStation games - ive always had a soft spot for the Philadelphia Flyers at NHL, though my Redskins passions forces me to support the Capitals - and basketball was all about Magic Johnson so LA Lakers for me. |
