Wouldn't it be even easier to just start over and give everyone 28 draftees and $500,000,000 in the bank?

I am committed to helping newcomers. No question. But, it's good to give newcomers 28 or even 55 Drafties?

What they have to do then?

In this game, each manager is happy if he can improve his team.

Does every new manager at the very beginning have a team that wins in the very first season, the league's Bowl?

If that is so, then it can not go forward. And that makes it in the long run is no fun.

Well what does it mean to take over a team now - is it a broken down college team?

I am all for paying one's dues, but it can get a little out of hand.

This proposal is about making it like taking over a broken down NFL team, puting the cleaners through it and filling the gaps.

Is that not enough?

And btw, there are still hundereds of managers trying to get to the top so forget about making things easier. This simply gets rid of the tedium of waiting too long to be competitive.

I think many have probably come here, stuck around for a while, seen how long the process will take, and left.

Even a team that has been here since the beginning has plenty to keep them occupied with management and game tactics.

I'd like to point out that in spite of the last post, I'm having fun in Div II right now.
But I'm probably a bit of a diehard though.

Sarcasm sure, but I think some people here really want this to happen. At least with all the whining about how slow catching up with top teams are this is the only solution to make everyone happy....

Yes - sorry I forgot to put the up!

Honestly. RZA gives managers a quicker road to parity than most games.

Examples:

1) Most games new managers earn far less than the top level teams. In RZA you get much closer income at lower levels of competition. Until recently, 2.1 and 2.2 teams got the same income per game (once they maxed their stadium)! You don't see that in other games. Basically, once you max your stadium, you are near parity on income.
2) Most games require new teams to build up a youth academy to pull new players of top quality. In RZA the YA takes a while, true, but RZA gives you three draftee players every season! I've never seen anything like that.

So, sorry - I just don't see the problem. The path to parity in RZA is shorter than anywhere I've seen.

In four season you have 12 draftees, two kids out of your YA who are good starters, and two more quality players off the transfer list. That's 8 guys on each side of the ball who are high quality, plus whoever you trained and kept from your original group of players. That's not much more than one RL year of basically just drafting well, a smart training program, and some playbook editing.

exactly! 3 years this december in TOG and still not competitive with the top teams, theres to much whining about have to work your way to the top when theres lots of proof that it can be done in a much shorter period of time here already patience is key in a game like this and not expecting to be given trophies without putting any effort in.

Yeah - I finally just gave up on TOG - about 2 years and stuck in 3rd Div. The bot flush here is just another reason RZA is better.
