My suggestion is to allow friendly matches on SC days during the playoff/offseason be handled similar to what is done with league game days during the same period.

For League Games the manual currently states:

There is a special way of playing friendly matches during the playoff period and offseason. Then you are allowed to play for free friendlies on Tuesdays and Saturdays too as long you have no regular matches scheduled, and those friendlies generate income, experience and so on. This is also applicable to the bye week during the regular season, when you can play a friendly game against another team that has a bye the same week.

So I suggest basically the same thing for Mondays and Thursdays during the playoffs/offseason with one exception, I think they should still cost the 5 credits.

I think this would be nice as it would allow all those teams who didn't do well enough to place in the SC playoffs to pick up a little extra cash (note that we are talking Friday Friendly type money) and keep everyone more involved during this otherwise slow period for most teams.

Keeping the 5 credit cost in there will encourage more people to buy credits and get a little more money to Pete to help support the game.

I am sorry, but this was suggested already, and shot down due economical balancing issues in case we would allow that

Have to add: this mix of income and Credits to pay would result in "you can buy progress by Credits", which is a "no go" based on our rules

Could you elaborte a bit Pete?

I don't really see how allowing teams who didn't make the SC playoffs a way to earn Friday Friendly type money would be unbalancing.

The teams playing in SC playoff are getting far more money. This would just let the teams who are not quite as good make a little money so they don't keep falling behind on the money curve.

Right now it seems like teams that do well and make the playoffs (league or SC) get a ton more money than the other teams. I suppose teams that do well in real life make more money too, but if your looking for economic balance you need to find ways to level that out so that everyone can compete on a level playing field. Right now it just seems like the rich just keep getting richer and those coming in later have very little chance to catch up.

Now I suppose the issue might be not wanting to charge the 5 credits but really, you deserve some extra cash for all your hard work on the game. I'm having a great time playing and I want to make sure you've got what you need to keep it going!
