I kind of figured that the trench matchup worked in several stages...the first is what I was most curious about. I figure the O-Lineman engage the D-Lineman and the result is something like Pancake > Good Block > Missed Block > DLineman breaks through.
I'm most curious about what skills the D-Lineman needs in this match-up...because it doesn't seem like Tackling would effect this stage of the process (Tackling would be in a later stage when the D-Lineman tries to tackle RB or QB). O-Lineman probably uses Strength, Blocking, Footwork...maybe other secondary skills. D-Lineman uses Strength, Footwork, but what else.... Does this calculation change between Run plays versus Pass plays? If Pete only had a stronger transmitter, we'd already know the answer... Steve SD Blitz |

I know some sim's where for good results needs using of formulas.
I think, it is killing interest of game. |

It is on each manager himself/herself if he/she is using the game for fun, or by using a math approach on each single step he/she is doing here. You cannot blame the game for the managers different behavior.. |

and there is probably enough parameters that there is no single perfect way to do things anyway.

My desire is not to reverse engineer the game engine and derive the mathematical formulas of the game. I would like to know though, when I see issues with my teams performance, what I need to train to correct them.
