Allowing more than 550 CP NO WAY!

Having a full set of AC's NO WAY!

So what was wrong with these?

The concept of the ACs is that you have to specify your teamstyle. You can play with a balanced team or highlight some parts of your team. (Strong pass offense, strong run defense ...)

If you allow more than 550 CP you can highlight all parts of your offense and defense. This is not what we want, because it lowers the tactical part of the game and could give rich teams a higher advantage.

Advantage - they would have a higher advantage atm channeling their money thru their player roster. I suppose they would end up with a slightly larger advantage but it wouldn't last as long since so much money would be bleeding out.

Tactics - I think managers would simply choose to spend in a manner that would mean they'd end up with the same sort of set of coaches. Especially if the coaches had traits as well as CP/con/exp.

In fact, this is arguably the main reason there is too much money around. I'll bet a lot of the xtra money that NFL teams have goes into the coaching staff.

Adding OC and DC ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE (We discussed it before the ACs were introduced)

Adding Special traits for AC's This is a good point and I like this suggestion

+1

@Hosh, there are already teams spending >2mil per u p d a t e on coaches. I like the way it is now because you get to chose a playing still like buffalo said.

Absolutely agree!

Maybe I misunderstood the OP, but I thought it was a suggestion about adding special traits to coaches, which I like a lot. But if the suggestion messes with the current coaching system then a big from me. It's a well built system, where you have to plan your style of play, and hire according to that so it actually involves some management choices.

So let's just stick to the special trait suggestion please!

what extra money? The league divides the revenue equally between teams. Merchandising, tv rights etc all goes to the league.

I confess to knowing nothing about this. Are you saying that every NFL team has the same amount of money to spend on things other than players? I find that hard to believe.

All duties the owners handed over to the NFL (TV, merchandise, some more) is shared through the owners...while - AFAIK - the local income (tickets, team merchandis and so on) is going directly to the pocket of that team...but maybe I am wrong here

Ticket income is correct that goes to the team but as the local cities own most of the stadiums I think they take a share. The other income is what is sold within the stadium ie food, programmes, those stupid foam fingers. Advertising hoardings around the stadium I believe belongs to the team too

Merchandising belongs to the NFL.(that could be an idea the league takes the income from the club shop, takes a cut and distributes around the league equally probably unworkable but a thought)

In the MLS even the player transfers of US Nationals are owned by the league for example when Landon Donovan left the LA Galaxy to go on loan to Everton had Everton brought the player they would have to negotiate with the league regarding the fee.
