118 groups 48 qualifiers so realistically if you have one close game you're out of the running. Needs looking at if you ask me Pete

I know that it can't stay as it is. But all posted proposals didn't change anything..some just delayed the trouble...I am open for suggestions on this, but only for suggestions that find a solution even if we would open Divisionlevel 4 or 5 or 12

There are 112 Divisions so a minimum of 128 for the playoffs.

I'd be even happier with 256. I would not like 192 - I don't like weeks off - it rewards the not so good teams.

I agree with hosh.

For 112 divisions 128 playoff-teams would be good. Add one playoff game day and shift the global bowl to the thursday befor the CoC-bowl. No wild card round, all playoff teams start in the first playoff-round.

If you add another league level, than you can extend the playoffs to 256 teams with adding an additional playoff game day. Where should be the additional game day? Shift the first SC-game to the first thursday of the season (draft day) and you have one more week for the SC.

Ok what room for manouvre do we have? Longer season? using extra game nights ie Sundays and Wednesdays? Can the cup be split?

Thought about this, but qualifiers won't really work as it will widen the financial gap for the new teams that won't make the group stage

than maybe lower ticket prices to minimum or even zero for supercups and raise them for league games to keep the balance
