Destroyers Vs Gladiators
My pick: Gladiators 31-10

Well not much to say about this game, it was a blowout of epic proportions. Destroyers were outplayed and also out leveled the entire game, their gameplan didn't worked all all. I thought the Gladiators would of won the game but not with so much ease, I am wondering if the Destroyers messed up their settings or playbook for this one? I mean only the 4th quarter showed some kind of balance between the two teams in terms of scoring, the rest of the game it was simply Gladiators all the way. So Gladiators moves on winning 90-14. Total yardage Gladiators 767, Destroyers 249.

Rams Vs Magpies
MyPick: Magpies 27-3

Rams were underdogs and the Magpies made sure they knew it with their opening drive, a 6 minutes drive ended with a 5 yards run by Leland Dillon to put the Magpies ahead, and they never looked back...they extended their lead by kicking a FG making it 10-0, their defense was playing lights out and the Rams struggled to move the ball around aldo in the beggining of the 2nd quarter they managed to reduce the diference by kicking a FG of their own, but that was followed by another long successfull drive by the Magpies who were moving the ball around well. That made it 17 to 3 and after that Rams were stopped near midfield and Magpies missed a FG in the next drive. That was all she wrote in the first half.
With 17-3 in HT nobody would say the game was over, but the fact was that alot had to change for the Rams to have hopes of coming back and win this one, and the fact is that it never happened, quite teh opposite, the Magpies came from the locker room wanting to deliver a knock out punch on the Rams. They stopped the Rams on the 3rd Quarter opening drive, 3 and out with a sack, and in the following possession TD Magpies! Another run this time by Alfred Bruton who went 15 yards for the TD, the Point after made it 24-3 and right there the Magpies had a huge advantage. The Rams couldnt score and the Magpies had alot of possession and were tiring the Rams defense with long drives that they simply had no answer for, so it was no suprise to see them do that yet again for a 16 yards TD pass from Artem Gryniv to Curt Reaves and putting even more diference in the score 31-3 at that point. The rest of the game was simply the Magpies running down the clock and the Rams saving pride, Magpies still added 7 more in the 4th and the Rams kicked a FG to make it a final score of 38-6 Magpies.

Bears Vs GLADIATORI
My Pick: GLADIATORI 14-10

What a great great game by both these teams, two fantastic defenses going head to head as expected. First quarter was a total shutdown by both defenses, at one point I thought the Bears had made a serious mistake going for it on 4th down inside GLADIATORI 10 yard line not taking the 3 points. They were stopped short on that try. They tried the exact same thing again in teh 1st quarter, going for it on 4th down this time on the GLADIATORI 6 yard line, guess what happened....yep, they got stopped and turned the ball over on downs again! This could of been very costly, it was now 6 points that could of been on teh board for them that weren't and that in close games like this one usualy make alot of diference. But 1st quarter ended and the Bears Offense was the only one doing anything worth noticing, and in the first drive of the second quarter they got what they were looking for, a 5 yards TD pass from Bogdan Andreev to Ruslan Karimow capped off a 4 minutes drive and saw the Bears draw first blood. But GLADIATORI were there to play and answered back, first with a solid drive that ended in a missed FG that their Kicker should not of missed, and then after a Interception that left them in a very good field position they failed to convert into a TD but took the FG and made the score 7-3 at half time. This after the Bears missed a last minute FG!! Third quarter was more of the same, defenses dominating, but this time the Rams were the team that looked more menacing and controled teh tempo and time of possession, they were also teh only team to score during the 3rd quarter, a FG making it 7-6 to enter the final quarter of regulation. On teh first drive of the 4th, teh GLADIATORI did something that they havent done all night, they went for it on 4th down, and it was a 4th and 10 on the Bears 40 yard line, they were stopped and turned the ball on downs...the asnwer to that by the Bears was a long drive burning time of the clock and moving the ball, that drive ended in a FG that extended their lead to 10-6, so now a FG was not enoug for the GLADIATORI they actualy needed a TD, something that they havent been able to do all game long. Adn the truth is they weren't able to produce any other scoring drive, they tried but the Bears managed to stopped them everytime. A great game nonetheless by both teams defenses. Key might of been that decision to go on 4th down in a 4th and 10 situation by the GLDIATORI HC.

Underachievers Vs Lambruschia
My Pick: THE Underachieves 30-27

What to say about this one, two completely diferent halfs in this one, in the first one Lambruschia dominated the game, first quarter they were the only team putting any points on the board with a FG, and in the second quarter and much to my suprise the same story, only Lambruschia were able to score points, and this time they scored 21 to 0!!! A completely clueless Underachiever team headed to the Locker room to alot to correct, and boy did they ever, they came back with teh tought that the game wasn't over yet despite lossing 24-0, and what happened was a 21 to 0 3rd quarter... and they still missed a FG during that frenetic 3rd quarter! So right now it was looking like The Underachievers could actualy pull off the comeback, they had momentum on their side entering the 4th quarter with a 24-21 diference after beeing down 24-0. But they never came even close of FG range in the 4th quarter to tie it, Lambruischia defense cameback to their formerselves and dominated a explosive offense of the Underachievers. Lambruschia played smart and took alot of time of the clock going for 4th down runs in the Underachievers side showing alot of confidence in their own defense. In the end a great game by two great teams, only one could go trough tho, and Lambruschia today deserved it more.
