It would seem that speed is a non factor for OL and DTs.

Can anyone prove this by showing us a top notch OL or DT that has speed much < 20 but still a great performer?

I have no OL with less than 20. My slowes OL with 23 Speed has a blocking success of 82% and nearly 4000 Pancakes in his carrere.

Or to ask another question -

If a DT/NT had speed 35 vs a C/G with speed 15, would the DT/NT get much, if any, advantage from such a speed difference?

At least if a Defender is catching for an interception he can use speed, no matter of his position...

You can read it in the manual: "DEs, LBs and SFs are able to create sacks. They need a lot of speed to do so"

So nothing new and the question was if DT need Speed. The only question is, does Speed help the DT to tackle the RB for a loss of yards.

Yes, and a little bit more - if then the C/G had good speed, would it stop NT/DTs playing well?

No. The job of the OG, OC is only to make the block. For blocking speed is unimportant and Strenght is one key for a good block.

Just for having it complete...on interceptions speed can helpul for all Offense members, just to catch the interceptor
