No. The job of the OG, OC is only to make the block. For blocking speed is unimportant and Strenght is one key for a good block.


Just for having it complete...on interceptions speed can helpul for all Offense members, just to catch the interceptor


I never saw an OL with a tackle after a INT or fumble.

So it seems this is the only benefit of OL speed. It seems the outside running game should get a boost from it (pulling guards) and the short passing game (screens).
