I am not a fan of big playoff money at all.

But what I am an even lesser fan of is that WC teams get a financial advantage over the 1 and 2 seeds of each conference since the top 2 seeds have the week off.

So how about 4 WC teams vs the 4 Div winners in the first week (per conference)?

No way to change the NFL-playoff-system.

For sure the WC-teams have a financial advantage, but they have not the homefield advantage during the complete playoffs. The homefield advantage is small, but could be the key in close matchups.

Exactly...it is like a trade on money for disadvantages...I see no reason to change that

And they lose PC in that WC games, so either lose some training points to restore PC or play with less PC.

...hmmmmm.....think I'd prefer the money.

Last season, futile as it was since I was 1 and out, I simply got PC for all players up for the playoffs and would not have touched it after that anyway in all likelihood.

No chance, the WC game is a good chance for those in a really strong division to make the playoffs. I made the bowl this season and had to beat my two divisional rivals to make it to the bowl. The team I faced in the bowl also had to beat one of his divisional rivals to get through. To eliminate the two wild card teams in my opinion would make most playoffs weaker as in the majority of cases not all of the divisional winners are as good as some of the runners up from stronger divisions.

he wasnt saying no WC teams - he was saying to include an extra 2 teams and have a 8/4/2/1 knockout system of games so that all teams benefit from income, rather than 1 team 'gaining' an extra week.

Hence "4 WC teams v 4 Divisional Winners"

Makes such a difference reading things properly you know....

scanning and working well thats an even worse idea. you would have to go some in 2.1 or 2.2 NOT to make the playoffs. Why play 16 games to have a knockout with half those teams at the end of it all. It reminds me of a world cup (rugby union or cricket) where they played a crazy number of games and something like 4 sides were eliminated after the first round

But how about money from Wild Card games will not divided between WC teams only?
Incom from the WC games wil divided by 3 parts.
2 parts from WC1 game to members of WC1 game.
2 parts from WC2 game to members of WC2 game.
The sum of the 3-rd parts of WC1 and WC2 - to another 2 PO members.
