ok, so this is a true story:
For the last two years I have lost to a team that has ALL defensive players listed as DL. Should my conclusion be that the old engine favored the run game so much that this defensive strategy would work ? Isn't his entire defensive backfield playing out of position ? Why can't I throw against this strategy, or am I going to be pleasantly surprise this year ? Can't wait to hear the comments on this |

Yes, he has all the defensive players as DL in his roster.
The reason, he has a good DL coach and no CB, SF, LB coaches In order to get his players an OOP penalty. Apparently, this penalty is not worse enough for him. It looks as though he seems to have success with this tactic. |

Nevermind, got the links - - -> Link 1 - Link 2 It's the first time I see a team play like this, both games were close games, but honestly playing with DL players in the entire backfield (also some WR, KR, OL etc) should be easy pickings for a average QB with average receivers. But because they are hybrid players they can play anywhere without much penalty, this is one of the reasons why I think this hybrid players are not a good thing in the game. But that's not what this thread is about so moving on, you should of picked that defense apart with your Passing game, something that clearly didn't happened. |

The OOP penalty clearly isn't enough if these tactics/ strategy can be successful. If any team in the NFL played 11 DLs then the defense would be picked apart. That a team can do that here is just not right!
