Hi there. I think I find out an easy way to make playbook more realistic, more flexible and more tactic, without any extremely hard solutions. I think every programmer will agree that this solution would be easy to implement if You will find it good

So imagine a new playbook as a mix of 'pre-defined events' and 'play pool'. You can set the pre-defined events like we have playbook right now, for any special situations, like chasing the score, kicking the fieldgoal in certain moment or etc. But if game engine will pass all of the events, and there will be no specified play for current situation (which should happen most majority of the time) the engine randomly chooses one of the play from the customisable pool:

So, when the game engine comes to situation where there is no predefined play, it rolls a number between 0-100. And depending to the 1st down marker, and play distribution in the table (3, 4 positions for each category should be enough) randomly chooses one of the plays.

It allows You to have wide variety of plays. As for now, You can do sth similar but VERY limited without control by game orders. Would be nice step to make another improvement of tactical side of the game

Any suggestions, feedback?

Greets,
Osq

I like the idea of choosing 2/3 different plays for the same scenario and setting a distribution. At the moment the orders in the game settings seem useless...

Kinda off topic (sorry about that!): after seeing the first direction for 3rd and 10+ saying left and middle this question popped into my head. Does the engine consider hash marks? Ie. the play ended between the hash marks so the next play will start from that point, and if the play ended left/right from them then the ball will be placed on the left/right mark? It could make a difference when chosing between pass left or pass right.
