So now, we talk about the difference between the 29 and 30yd line.
If pete makes the change, then what do we do, talk about the 30 and 31yd line? What is the difference? If a player now understands that it's 29 and less, or if he thought it would take a shot from the 30, what's the difference? If he knows it wont take a shot from the 30 then would he s e l e c t "<35"? Pretty stupid if he does since it's a 4yd difference for the sake of 1yd! All this change would do is help those that can't get their head around the present situation enjoy a false sense of security! |

Right now if you set <5 then it's 4 yards, <10 then 9 yards, <15 then 14 yards etc. So at first you have a rule for 4 yards, then +5 yards for the rest of them. That 4 doesn't make sense, if it's every 5 yards then it should be 5,10,15,20 etc.

You do realize that if you have your Field Goal set to come in <31 yard or 36 or 41 yard line, and you are right on the 31, 36 or 41 yard line that it won't come in right? You also realize that if you simply don't have it set on a high enough number to give your K a chance to actually kick that it might cost you a game, right (like < 60)? OMG! hosh13 wrote:

Sorry to break this down to you , but you are not understanding this suggestion at all, and you also don't understand what's wrong with the current set of options, and I'm done trying to explain it to you as it seems you will never understand it. |

To everyone else that hasn't realized this problem, here is a diferent scenario. This time we won't use a Field Goal, let's say you have a specific play that you want your team to run when they are inside the 5 yard line of your opponents team.
Example: <5 - Goaline O - Rush If you are on the 1,2,3 or 4 yard line the play will get called, every time you find your team right on top of the 5 yard line, this play will not get called. Every play that any owner as set using "inside" a certain distance, and the ball is right on that spot, the play will not get called. Use the Playbook checker to see what I mean, if you have specific plays like this, s e l e c t the exact distance that you have set, (in the example it would be 5 yards to Goaline) and you will see that the Checker won't find any play. PS - No need to coment Hosh, I know you don't understand and this is not meant to make you understand. |

To make it short: canonico is saying it should be "5 or less" instead "less than 5", just to make it easier to understand...

I want to understand the discrimination against numbers not divisible by 5 - why are they so inferior?
If pete changes this I will make a new suggestion - If I have a drive going and it stalls on the 31yd line when I have <31 selected, I miss the FG and lose the game. Or will we have "<= 30" ? At least this will provide a false sense of satisfaction this way. Btw, yawl realize that we have no control over whether a drive stalls on the 29, 30 or 31yd line, right? |
