lol...probably about right!!

was watching something earlier and i saw that the Mayor of Washington is campaigning to have the nickname changed from the Redskins - because it is offensive and construed as racist?????

What the hell is this world coming to?

I dont think the campaign has been quite that high in office but I remember reading in First Down years ago that they was working to remove the names linked to native american indians in all american sports and even the logos (this may explain the Bucaneers change in their logo a few years back). This wont surprise you but it's not actually coming from the native indians but from the do gooders.

And that changing of offending nicknames was done.
But some teams were given a pass to keep their names, like the Redskins and the Seminoles, because of tradition.

this has been up for debate a long time and always someone who has to jump on the politically correct bandwagon. they need to get some air and deal with real issues!.
