So. If the Eagles win the rest of their games the would end up 9-7 and proberbly still miss the playoffs. This would/should mean the end of the Andy Reid era.
Although ive been a big fan of Andy and think this is largely a result of bad luck, I do think its time for a change. So who should be the next HC? |

I hear Hosh may be available for next season he would get my vote but that's only if the Jets decide to keep their HC (I can't stand the Jets) Other than that I wouldn't know tbh Last edited on 2012-11-26 09:27:42 by bwadders76 |

No idea who should replace him, but Reid must take responsibility...
Over-reliance on an unpredictable and injury prone QB No OL to speak of Gross under-usage of one of the most talented RBs in recent football history! McCoy is awesome, so LET him off the leash! |

I saw them against the Saints a few weeks ago and the protection offered to Vick was almost non existent. Although in the first half they dominated the Saints they found themselves 2 or 3 TDs down due to crazy playcalls. McCoy did look good though despite the OL giving him nothing to get yards with. |

I heard that Mike Holmgren is planning a comeback as HC.
After the season some more teams should look for a new HC (e.g. Jets) |

I havent thought of Holmegren at all. Would make some sense as it wouldnt be a completely new system, but maybe thats what this team needs.
except for the cardinals game, i have seen every eagles game this season, and there are problems in every aspect of the game. Worst problems are the O-line (can the starters come back healthy, next year?), redzone turnovers (playcalling, O-line, Vick) and pass D (passrush and secondary). No one has had a flawless season though. NFL is becoming/has become a passing league, but i really like what i see in 49ers, and would like to see a simular approach in Philly (i wonder what the niners want for Harbaugh, Bowman and Willis?). But back to the original question; i would like to see a NFL-veteran coach, like Edwards, Cowher or Billick (no Gruden). Maybe someone like Mora Jr. or even Payton. Dont know enough about colledge coaches, but it would have to be someone with a revolutionary yet proven system if i must be convinced. |

Why do you believe the state of the Dirty Birds is down to 'largely bad luck'?
Please dont say injuries - every team without fail suffers from them in key positions. |

Well, it is bad luck with so many injuries on the O-line, a lot of the turnovers have been bad luck aswell, I could throw some blame at the refs to and finally the eagles have faced 4 teams coming off their bye week this season (If i remember correctly).
I know its not all luck, but in a couple of the close games they have lost, a few plays going the other way could have meant a lot (also for team moral). Its a perfect example of a losing team having nothing going their way. |
