Is there any chance of amending the description in the Manual for Positioning ???
When compared to, for example, the Agility description ... the Positioning info seems somewhat sparse and vague. |

For example?
Seems pretty straight forward to me - it dictates the "position" on the field that a player attempts to get to. It even specifies that this means what side of a player to be on. What more is there? |

Replies welcome from anyone who actually knows what they're talking about. IMO the description is good as it is. At least it is in my poor english exact what I want to tell about POS "Positioning is the skill which helps each player to enter his spot on the field or to run his route. It is also important for a defender to determine on which side of the attacker he should participate in the play. " How to know where to line up How to run my route If I want to tackle this guy, or maybe intercept the pass, how to lineup against that attacker |

Questions :- So, is positioning a 'dynamic' skill or a 'static' skill ? i.e. Is being a good route-runner a combination of positioning (static skill - only counts before the whistle is blown) and intelligence (takes over when the whistle is blown and the play develops). or is Positioning a 'dynamic' skill and much more like , for example, 'Marking' is always a skill in a Soccer sim (v.useful for Defenders) ?? |

I tend to compare it with the "Marking" example

Anyone know why Positioning is more important than Vision for RB when common sense would say Vision is way more important.
Also do QB use it ? |

I would guess that he needs to be in the right position to receive the hand off from the quarterback. I asked myself the same question.
I don't think it right to say its more important, i like to think its the least developed skill of most of the draft RB's Edit to answer about QB's...i'm running that test this season Last edited on 2012-11-28 23:45:33 by scottishbronco |
