Back up for one second you all are miss something. Let break down the 5-2
against a short pass. So the safety cover deep 2 the LB cover hook zones CB cover flat zones So how do CB cover 2 WR . Because the LB are in the middle of the field. Out of position to cover unless the WR comes cross the middle. So how it should work. QB drops back passes quick to slot wr .Who is standing wide open as the linebacker are in the middle of the field not out where the slot WR are. |

I think you where looking at the 2 wr shot gun Not the 4 wide shot gun

IMO you are right in that in a normal game you would have a big miss match when a 4WR set faced 5-2 Def. You are either asking a LB or one of your safeties to cover the second WR on each side.
But I also took a quick look at one of you recent games 4wr vs 5-2 I know this is just one game..ok? And I just focused on when you were in 4WR vs 5-2. The engine seem to work ok... Firstly your QB overthrew the ball a fair bit and your WR's dropped a fair few catches. The rest seem to be successful plays that ended in the CB making a tackle. So I am making an assumption here! That the CB is playing soft coverage and closing once he sees the ball flight. They were all short passes so all playes started in front of the CB position. Now IMO I would never play 5-2 against 4WR but this is how I saw this game. |

I am not complaining about the fact of the yards. It the simple fact that miss match may not equal more yard but more, alot more easy completions.
But then again the enigine still needs work. right now the Macth up of formation is not here. It more of good or bad for pass and rush. Last edited on 2012-12-05 02:16:12 by andrew2scott2 |

But 5 DL- players can help to make good pass-rushing of DE-s and MLB-blitz. I am sure 5-2 vs Shotgun 4WR then the 1-s and goal at 5 yards to goal-line - is normal solution. |
