Come on! Seriously? Like there was absolutely no other name to give a team than mine?
Imposter Phoenix Firebirds Seeing myself on the TM selling a draft pick was quite a surprise though |

I would expect, that it wouldn't be possible to use already existing team names.

Well, to be fair, I guess Green Bay Packers might just be a common name among fans... Imagine the manager would have the nick "bardados2"! |

I see no reason to limit this. If a manager would like to manage the packers, he should be allowed to do that.

Official team names of the NFL, perhaps college and European football teams can be duped, but add a protection for fantasy team names like Phoenix Firebirds?(Or are the Phoenix Firebirds an actual team?) |

I have no problem with others wanting to name their team after the greatest team of all time, I just wish it would be just a bit different. Maybe all CAPS or all small, add a number or symbol before or after the name. That's all. GO PACKERS!! |

Well I haven't really looked up if this name existed. I came up with it when registering to RZA, but now that I searched google it turns out it was the name of a minor league baseball team back 15 years ago...there's a U18 hockey team with this name too.
But regardless, I think the site shouldn't allow duping team names. Even if someone is a fan of an NFL team, there should be some difference between identical names, right? Like barbados said, maybe all capital letters, abbreviation of the home town, or simply don't allow same team names in the same city. You like the Packers? Cool, but Green Bay is already taken by another user. |
