The first week's games had some exciting endings! The nice thing about a big cup is the number of games played.
Farmsum Islanders 20 Landru Athletics 17. Landru had a 17-13 halftime lead only to have Farmsum drive down on the first possession of the third quater for the games final score. Landru had chances though! At the end of the 3rd quarter Landru got to midfield before the drive stalled. In the fourth quarter Landru drove to the opponents 47 yard line. Then next possession Landru got to Farmsum's 27 yard line only to fumble it midway through the 4th quarter. .Bavarian Bratwursts 35 GDU 31 What is amazing is looking at the overall stats compared to the score. It shouldn't be close, but it was. BB 30 first downs. GDU 4 first downs. BB 510 yards GDU 353 yards BB 9 for 16 on 3rd down conversions. GDU 2 for 10. BB 42:02 TOP GDU 17:58 TOP BB 43 carries for 5.4 yards each GDU 20 carries for 1.7 yards each GDU had 4 touchdown passes of 79, 76,56,and 38. Why I look forward to the new engine. The craziest thing is that BB had to score in the last 3 minutes of the game to get the go ahead score. FAJNY 27 DS9 21 The above scenario is played out here as well except the opposite result. DS9 dominated the stats and still lost out. DS9 did have two INT's while FAJNY had no turnovers. .Undertaker 31 Turtles 24 This game is amazing because of the furious comeback despite no turnovers by either team in this game. Turtles had a 24-14 lead with a little less than 13 minutes in the game to go. Undertaker then on the next possession throws a 63 yard bomb to pull to 24-21. Turtles takes a long drive to stall at midfield. Undertakers next possession is long drive where they convert 2 third downs for a resulting 38 yard field goal to tie it up. Turtles go 3 and out. Next play is a 63 yard bomb for another touchdown for the undertakers for the final score of the game with 20 seconds left to go. There are a few more but I have to go. I'll post more later. |

have to add: cant wait to enable 2.2.1 engine, not to see these long bomb game decisions anymore...3 weeks left...

Does the engine include a small modification to the performance of the Burton Redskins? It's impossible for them to fumble with six fingers on the ball

Been a little while since I posted and some great games have been had!
These are some of the key games to get to the playoffs that occurred. Group 3: This group had some amazing games where a single play could have changed the playoffs. Peter was involved in most of those nail biters. Vs Bavarian and vs DS9. If only DS9 vs Fajny flipped the other way and Peter would be in the playoffs. Group 4: Perhaps the Turtles are the most unfortunate team in the cup. All three of his games : Amazing comeback win for Undertakers, Black Devil overtime win, and Squeaker win for Turtles vs Devon were tough games. In all reality here any of these teams in group 4 could have been in the playoffs. Almost every game was a close contest. Check out this ping pong match and this close game.. I would love to see this group play another round! Group 5: Will finish later today...have to work..lol. Group 5 was amazing as well btw. |

Note for me: Kill my kicker, rip all his limbs off, spread them all over the world. Then kill myself to go hell and continue slapping like the bitch he is, that kind of abomination called "the Undertakers kicker"

Preachie kicked me out of the cup in a thriller.
I did 2 major mistakes, one in the DC and one in my new playbook. Both might have cost me the win. |
