Is it right that players leave on season rollover if their contract isn't renewed, i thought u had until after season rollover. otherwise you lose a years contract on them or dont have a transfer place from YA to seniors.
if the latter is correct then Pete, you need to change the wording on the message sent out.

Players with a contract expiring in season 6, or having no contract at all, will leave your team on Sunday.

If I should change the manual or messages or whatever, please come up with a proposal.

Edit: typo

the message says you will lose them if they are not issued contracts before season rollover. which if done would lose a years contract.
so maybe it should say on rollover or before last day of rollover.

I think one issue is, that if you prolong an existing contract and chose for example 3 years as this year and next 2, right after season rollover it is only a 2 year contract, because that one year "this year" was only worth a few days.

But this would not change, so the proposal should be changing the labels in the negoitiation windows. This , by the way, would be wrong, since "this and the 2 next" is just right

But normal contracts are for 1 and 2 years and franchise contracts for 3 and 4 years. I look at that "this year" as an added bonus. If the "lost season" was taken from the contract itself then you could say it's unfair, but I don't see any problem with it as it is.

I'm not using contracts yet here and just very new on the test stage, so I'm not sure what will happen on prolongation, but I undertood:

Assuming I switch to contracts beginning of the next season 7 (which I intending to do).
I offer a player a contract for this season and another 2.
He accepts.
I have him under contract for season 7, 8 and 9.
3 seasons, more or less.
Now jump to season 9. The contract has to prolonged, and to save money I'm waiting to the end of the season.
One day before season roll over I sign the player for this season and another 2.
He accepts.
I have him under contract for th rest of season 9 and for season 8 and 9.
So basically 2 seasons, more or less.
So I might get the impression, thatI lost one season here.
The truth is, I gained 1 season when I started the HR Department.

I think what's maybe wanted is, to prolong such contracts from season rollover on, not for the rest of the season. But I'm not sure about that.

And oddball thinks that this isnot well writen in the contract manual.

This won't work. However, it clearly states "this season and another season" or "this and 2 seasons". It means a 1 years contract, or a 2 years contract in that example, and the current season is more "a bonus", as written above.

So if you start negotiating at the end of a season, you cannot claim you want to have the "full bonus".
