I see nothing wrong with the wording at all.
If it is a matter of the contract negotiating I would suggest you sign them to this and another year. You can then negotiate the long term franchise contracts right after rollover. |

It doesn't really cost you anything more. its not the cost or the contract lengths. contracts ends at the end of season 6 for example but 3 days rollover to season 7. why cant i negotiate so the contract would be i:e this and another which would be season 7-8. if i do it now i would have done 5-6 seasons and now need to negotiate for 6-7 so paying twice for a season!!. |

i am paying for a season. the player plays for a season he is paid for the season per week. if i negotiate now i am paying for the loss of 1 season in a week.
