Christmas is almost here! I have finally reached a point where I am highly considering taking a kicker and/or a punter with my 2 picks if possible. I may put one or both in my top 30 selections....never thought I'd reach that point.

Thought of doing this myself Not sure I am that desperate YET!

Some may think it crazy, but if you are in a close game where field position matters then that punter is worth it. I've seen significant differences in punting distance between punters I've had and ones I've upgraded to. Same with kickers. Against good teams you might need that little extra...just saying...

I think that every team has to have at least 1 good K and 1 good P. But I don't think that to get them you have to "waste" your 1st or 2nd draft pick. You can buy them on TM for cheap, train in YA or even suddenly pick them in 3rd draft round (especially if you pick at the bottom).

If you are a Playoffteam the "risk" to get one P or K is so high that i donĀ“t "waste" and 1st or 2nd round picks on them (anymore ). As longs as the sysem is how it is i will still put p an K at the bottom and hope some other guys are intertessted in them earlier.

Well...there is a good kicker and good punter in our draft. At least I consider them good.

The punter is 43 intelligence, 47 strength . Punting is in the 20's, obviously.

The Kicker has 47 strength with strong leg trait. Vision and kicking are in the 20's.

I'm also a little pissed at my kicker. Freaking prima donna took me to the last negotiation and he cost me 36k an update! sucks considering his strength is capped at 37. lol

You should have let Sebastian stay in Oakland.

I also thought about getting a proper draft P/K at some point. A homegrown guy with low STR and EXP may have an average of 32-35 yards/punt.

A top P may average 40-43 yards/punt, or something like that.

The difference is massive, and could well be a deciding factor in low scoring games.

"A top P may average 40-43 yards/punt, or something like that."

IMO, that's too optimistic. When Dark_Wing had this Punter skilled at Punting=46, he was averaging 38.8 yards for the season .... that guy is a Draft Punter from the very first Draft (2011-12-01) and probably one of the best punters ever in RZA.
