Anybody here play any of the Blood Bowl PC games?
I had heard about Blood Bowl for years, even before it was a video game and was only a board game,...but never tried it until about a week ago. Its a very good game.........kind of a cross between american football, soccer/football, and a brawl. Check out some videos of it on youtube.....especially the classic,...turn based.....game type. I dont know how is the new edition AI, but the vanilla one was horrible.

Played the board game (and Warhammer) as a kid with my brother, but it was impossible to find opponents in Holland. Later when I was at a friend's sleepover I discovered the first videogame on his pc. Played that to pieces. Now I still play the first version of the new video game now and then (just now in fact). Never went online with it though.

It's still Blood Bowl though, and I've heard the new version has most of the official teams available. I may buy the new version, my friend tried to talk me into it last week. 
I love the table top version, and have played it for about 14 years. I'm lucky to still have our local league playing here in South Bend, and the midwestern US has the best tournaments with the biggest turnouts in the country IMO. My team here is named after my first ever Blood Bowl team, although my players here are far too fast and tall to be Dwarfs.  |
