Yesterday I negotiated a contract with one of my new draft players, Randall Aguilera (ID: 714356). His Wage (estimation based on skills / current) was $4800ish / $5400ish and with minus 10% I managed to negotiate a contract for $4400.

Question: should players accept contracts for less than their actual wage?
It just doesn't seem logical, so I thought this was a bug.

that is no bug. much more it is about possible reachable skilllevels. i would say, you made a good negotiation job here

move that to discussions...

So you're saying the "actual" wage is meaningles in terms of negotiating a new contract? I thought it should have at least some effect on what the players accept for wage.

Guess when I'll renegotiate most of my contracts next season I'll save a lot of money! Gave some 36 skillers $45000 so I can save 10% on them and renegotiate to $40-41000

Still seems weird though...

Another question regarding contract wages:

I have a player with his highest skill at 36.5 and a wage of $54,909. I'm pretty sure that was his actual wage when I gave him a contract, and without knowing I can go lower than the actual, I gave him the same ammount. That being said, his wage is based on his skill levels. But a skill level of 36 ammounts to $44,000. So I'm guessing it's $44,0000 x 1,19 = $52,400 plus randomness which is the wage of a 37 skiller.

I thought the wages get upped once the skills hit the next round number, but as it is in this case, it's considered a 37 skill with 36.5, so it gets rounded up from .5

Is this true?

I find it good the way it is

I back some seasons made error in contract with one player total overpay for one season

So i had to wait one seasons and then give him new contract at fair price

It not possilbe to give lower salary i have to sell if this happen again

So i think no bug, just financial strategical good thing.

Player wages is one of those topics that IS going to come up repeatedly. There are holes in the logic of it so if it works out for the best in a given situation... just take it and try to repeat later.

Does a player with his highest skill at 36.5 have a wage of a 36 skill player or a 37 player?

So does the wage based on skill get updated on every round number, or it gets rounded up from .5?
