Possibly...my understanding is that is Italian...omg, not sure now, lmao!!!

It's Latin Xeno, it was apparently first penned by Julius Caesar. It may have been when he conquered Gaul (modern day France) or during one of the attempts to cross the Rhine although I could be wrong there.

Ahh, Latin it is then I wasn't sure exactly, just relied on what I've been told.

All good tho- - Bottom line is that those words meant what the Xenos did today against a team we most likely should have lost to. Wooot!

It was for Gaul! It is a really famous sentence in France, for the reason you explained!

Ceasar made the quote after crossing the Rubicon River, signaling the end to the last major resistance in Gaul.

You mixed everything. The rubicon river is in Italy near Rome and it was forbidden to enter this limit with an army. Ceasar did it to take the power. Veni, Vidi Vici is signaling the end of the last major resistance in Gaul!

At least I think so!

And sorry to polluting 2.2. forum with history but I'm interested since there is a lot of old rivals there! Congrats to Xeno and Bovelino!

thank you plusmali.
by the way, when caesar crossed the rubicon to challenge the roman senat, he did another famous quote: alea iacta est...
and one question: what does plusmali mean? anything to do with the beautiful but sadly shaken african state of mali??
all the best
bovelino

Nothing to do with Mali… I use it in several games for a so long time now that I forgot why I chose it in the first place… Seems now random to me.
