something needs to be done, I am not a huge fan of the e-bay system.. but the current one is a far worse option imo. if a new system comes about for trial split the FA's from the current one see how it fairs that way.

I found the proxy bidding suggestion interesting. What was wrong with that?

i admit, ilost track on all these different suggestions

a good start woul be, if someone coul collect all the different ideas...i would come up with another poll then, so we could have a first direction, by judging the different ideas

How about we create a thread, like the formations one in the suggestions forum?

So people ONLY post ideas and we won't all the 'filler'.

For all of you complaining about ebay style, why not actually give a suggestion?

With devastations idea it seems that it will give those online a little bit of an advantage, but those who can't be online at least have a chance. Right now I've got no chance of winning auctions that end while I'm asleep (other than setting an alarm and getting up) but with his suggestion I would be able to bid my max rather than 50% more than whatever the high bid is right now.

Why should I suggest sth when I like the current system and when I would stay with it?

A proxy bid system is a robot bid system too.

What does it mean if you can put a highest hidden bid and dont be online? For me this means the richest teams who could bid the most money will allways win the bidwars of the best players. Now you need to be online for the bid. This isn´t the best for the guys who couldn´t be online but it is a chance too for teams with less money in the bank to get such a player, cause maybe the guys with the big money couldn´t be online.

When you don´t need to be online you never have this chance as a team with a smaller budget because the big money teams (mostly the teams be here from season 1 and 2) would place a high bid which will be difficult for others to outbid.

For me this will only advantage the few of the richest teams but disadvantage the teams in the middle class.

The current Trade system didn't work at the moment in my opinion. It would work for the best young draft players.

I test it with for me good players but they were midage not the youngest and no draft players. I got only 2 serious bids for these guys. And they had all 1 physical in the 40s and 2 or 3 skills they need in the 20s. For the OL I got a bid of 1,5M. I sold him last week for 18M.

What would be with guys who havent skills in the 20s? What will be with YA players who maybe got no extratraining or be not really developed?

I agree with this. Plus I think if a manager is willing to get up at 3am for a player and put the extra time into the game to scour the TM then he should get an advantage over someone that logs in once/twice a week.

A system where the richest team always get the players and there are no more bargains isn't good for the game imo. And will frustrate and scare off newer players.

The only thing I dislike about the current system is the ridiculous bidwars from people waiting until the last minute to min raise your offer.

You can't really make any assumptions about the Trade System based on last season. It was a test, you could do anything without any consequences. A lot of ridiculous offers, both high and low. The only real "test" of such a system is when it goes live.

Wait a minute... Why is there a test when you couldn´t make assumptions? What is a test about?

The problem is many guys look only on the top transfers and which is the best way the could get them cause that are the players everybody wants. but the mass of players aren´t the top ones.

If you couldn´t make assumptions why is there a test?

I accept your opinion but I couldnt understand.

Actually, you may be right in that... for about a week. For example Team A found a player they just had to have and put a ridiculous max bid up of $300M then another manager decides they wanted that player too and starts bidding on him. Team B gets outbid immediately by Team A and the bid raises the maximum (150%). Team B can tell at which point Team A's bid hits its maximum because the bid doesn't actually raise the maximum amount. Team B can just keep bidding until the bid doesn't change by 150%. Now Team A has just had most of their money taken from them because Team B was smart and pushed it to the max bid of Team A.

Then teams would actually have to think about what value they put on each player before blindly throwing up a huge max bid.
