There are things like momentum, luck, 1 vs 1 situations and so on that decide a game, not a ranking of the whole roster HELL!
I don't speak about the reuslt of the game! As I wrote, it was the 1-st game wich looks like real football! We are have 5 ranking by the lines. And overal. Team A is stronger in 4 lines. In 1 line teams are same. But team B is stronger in overal. |

I think the main question is:
How is each number calculated, that at the end with the overall ranking of the team with the better rankings in each area can be less than that other team. Obviously those area ranking do have players involved which are counted on more than one area. Maybe there is a weighting system in the areas (like passing -> qb rating is counted * 1,2 and FB maybe with 0.8) and in the overall system it is not (so all do count with weight 1 and at the end there is an average by #players on the roster or always 55)? |

It is just the average rating of the guys involved in a group...
On the overall it is not (pass + passd + rush + rushd + specialteam)/5, it takes the players per group into account, since the specialteam rating would kill the average.. |

You are posting like this "Watch this! Why?" Couldnt you post like this: "Watch that game! Why the averages of the rating are calculated this way, why a team having less good rating than the other, has finally a better overall rating?" It wouldnt be that msileading, wouldnt leave me alone on answering a question, and doing that wrong because of missing information. And nobody said the issue was not serious! But you never put in a "well formed" question in your post. However...it is on you. Better questions and more details result in faster and correct answers...now you |
