If your relationship is in this situation now then speaking from experience things could get worse as you get older together.
As a couple you need to face challenges and stressful issues together as a team. This does not sound like it happened in your case. Sadly love is often not enough for a couple to work through the problems life will throw at them.
That said whatever you do I wish you the best of luck.

Agree with Pete, you need a totally independent opinion..

But counselling? After having been in the relationship for just a few months?
