Yes! And I'm a 3.2 team. If the point is to determine the best, you should have to measure your record relative to top tier teams. Alabama doesn't get to wi. The Super Bowl , no matter how good their record may be

Lower tier teams have enough to shoot for advancing to the next tier. If their team is good enough they can compete in a season or two

My 2 cents

How about you split the CoC into three competitions for each level of team.

The Division 1 version would only have 16 teams so to win it there is just four games but against top opposition.

Division 2 has 32 teams so they have 5 games to win it and the winners can say that they was the best Division 2 team in RZA from the previous season.

Division 3 has 64 teams and 6 games to win it.

Each winner has bragging rights in their own division and the lesser sides has more chance of winning their competition.

Also you could schedule all games to be played at a neutral maxed out stadium so that the Division 2 and 3 teams will earn slightly more money than the Division 1 teams thus helping them close the gap on the established sides.

Each competition becomes more competitive and gives lesser teams a better chance of success.

I like that idea a lot.

Only change I would suggest is that we won't play KO mode in Div.1 CoC, but 2 groups of 8. Group winners play out finale, or top 2 play semis and then finale.

Besides, Pete, you are a shrewd mammal!

I think the poll title is misleading. It should rather read like:

"Do we want to restructure the CoC Cup, and in the process reduce income of the Top Teams?" Then the result would be:

YES 134 - NO 27 - DON'T CARE 39

LOL, no deeper sense behind my choice to go for the first question first...as written, a series of polls lays ahead

The Div 1 version could be called C of C Serious Teams

the Div 2/3 versions could be the "John McEnroe" version .... i.e. you cannot be Serious C of C

This idea is a tanker.

The general idea is a step in the right direction however.

In my location, we have single class basketball. That means even the little teams of low population = low ranks, compete against the biggest teams. It's fun to see if someone breaks the expectations, and whips the giant to win a championship. I vote no, but it's a whim, honestly. So second choice would be "I don't care"

I'd vote yes to this.
