I just want to know where do I send my therapist bill???

PS: I didn't tought you were refering to me, but I just wanted to make it clear why I was posting on the matter.

Hey, I wasn't referring to you, just the general uproar from many who have posted on this. lol.

I posted on another thread some possible benefits. I think the knee jerk reaction is to run around screaming with a bucket on your head while the house burns down.......why!!!!!!!!!!!?????!?!?!?

I think I laid out some reasonable possibilites in that post that may calm some people. We need to give it a little time before losing our minds. lol

Just because I disagree with this doesn't mean I am having a "knee jerk reaction" or I am "to run around screaming with a bucket on your head while the house burns down".

I saw this news feed earlier, after giving it some thought, my opinion is it will bring more bad things then good. So I like to state my opinion, not by posting in caps or making a mockery of the idea, but to expose my concerns. You like the idea and I respect that, but I happen to dislike it, and I exposed my concerns over it. Plain and simple.

Not in the NFL you can't, but RZA is a purely numbers based game...So, I believe you can in RZA.

I would put a $5 bet on who would get to the playoffs (in RZA) between two teams...one with $1m in the bank and one with $100mil in the bank.

There'd be no contest!! In RZA you CAN buy positive results (wins -> Championships)

Pro:
Sending more free agents to the TM is a good thing.
Raising the quality of free agents is an even better idea.

Con:
Why not just raise the OVERALL quality of these players so more people get interested?
You want one "gold" player per day? Sure, why not. Just make him a REGULAR draft type player, not something we haven't even seen in all of RZA in the last 6 seasons...
And if you say one such player per day, why not stick to what you've actually said? Why flood the TM with like 8 of these superstars?

My 2 cents.

No, I did read you post about it not working here so far, but maybe I should change the wording on my initial post from "buying a Superbowl team" to "buying a Superbowl calibre team"

As there is only one Superbowl champion per year, it stands to reason that if there are 30 teams with $500m each in the bank, not all of them can win, so in essence you are correct. You can't buy the actual Championship, mainly because there are other teams with similar amounts of cash.

However each of them WILL have a Superbowl calibre team, capable of competing and capable of winning.

They'd certainly stand infinitely better chance than a team with $1mill in the bank, mainly because a team with $500mill in the bank has its pick of ANY player that is in the TM....A $1m team has little to no choice of players, and will invariably be outbid on any half decent player every time.

I would certainly like to hear from Canonico, sf and Petef about any positives or negatives you might see with a Purchase Cap system in place so we might discuss them?

I might have missed something glaringly obvious to you guys, but I'd just like to get your thoughts.

Thanks.

As for your idea on the purchase cap...I dont like it either... sorry
Not trying to be difficult or anti change.

There may come a time when a salary cap might be needed but limiting how much you can spend in one season isnt a solution

Could I ask why? Again I just want to see all angles, both good and bad.

Anyone that is implying that having cash doesn't help (alot) to win trophys or rings in RZA is surely not beeing serious. I quickly put up a list of the top 30 money spenders in transfers (aquiring players) in RZA, I checked their trophy case to see how many official trophys they have up to this point and portrait them in the table you are seeing. And what unfortunately can't be accounted for is how deep this teams go in every competition. But for users like myself who pay attention, we know who the teams are that are always in the thick of things (at least since I've been here). I'd say 20 out of those 30 teams are always in the latest stages of every competition they enter.

If need be I'll go Top 50, would bet that the rest of the top trophies (SC/CoC) from the 6 seasons played are among the top 50 spenders.
