NE Pats to cut both Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd

Welker is an unrestricted FA. They can't cut him

OK, I'll rephrase it .......... He won't be returning to New England next season.

Likely.

There are a lot of good WR on the FA-market this year:
Greg Jennings, Dawyne Bowe, Brian Hartline, Victor Cruz (restricted), Emanuel Sanders (restricted), Mike Wallace, Danny Amendola.

The last name might be a nice Welker-replacement for the Patriots.

where comes these rumors about welker and lloyd from?

the pats also could be use the franchise tag on welker again or this time on vollmer. They won´t use him for talib or woodhead.

welker is the best receiver and had another season over 1000 yards with 1354 and the most receptions with 118.

lloyd is second and 911 yrds is not that bad for his first season with the pats.

Edelman becomes FA too and was injured but more used than welker until his injury. Stallworth replaced him but is injured too and branch replaced stallworth.

stallworth and branch are old and they couldn´t make a roster spot after training camp.

If they let welker go and cut lloyd the patriots need a complete new receiver group. (Only Slater who is the ST captain and not really used as WR stays) I can´t believe that they would go in a new season with a complete new WR group.

Knowing how Bellichick is, dont wonder idf he resigns Welker again...only to be able to cut him.
