Two other starters were release today: Fitzpatrick by the Bills and Asomugha by the Eagles.
Fitzpatrick is no real surprise and the Bills might trade up in the draft to get Geno Smith. Anomugha join the market of a deep CB position. |

Anomugha join the market of a deep CB position. You're probably right but in a normal year Smith wouldn't be near the top ten. Even first round? Such a poor year for QB compared to the last two. I'm not saying that none will make it in the NFL but the general quality isn't great. The number of veteran CBs available this FA is astounding. Is it a shift away from giving them big money following the recent trend of big CB FA moves becoming busts? Fitzpatrick doesn't surprise me but I feel for him a little as the Bills are dire. |

His agent says he had a conversation with us, nothing more. It's him simply trying to generate interest. Reed will be back, Kruger and Ellerbe were overpaid and so were never going to stay in Baltimore at those prices. Still quite sure |

Wes Welker sign for 2 years in Denver. It will be interesting too see how much he will get. I should be more than 20 Mio$.

A good move by Denver i think. Good player to bring the young TE's through...seem to say that alot about Denver's players these days
Edit to add...every news story has Welker listed as a WR lol reports are that -G.O.A.T- is not happy with the PATs failure to offer the 2 mill it would have taken to keep Welker at N.E Welker 2 Broncos Last edited on 2013-03-13 22:09:17 by scottishbronco |

Uhhh..... Last I checked, Welker was a WR. And to me he seems way too small to switch and need to block. He just usually plays in the slot or underneath similar to what a recieving TE does. Gronk and Hernandez were the pats TEs.
As far as the actual news, Denver just got even better. Peyton Manning didn't even need an automatic 5-7 yard security blanket, and now he has it anyway. |

The Vikings won the battle on Greg Jennings. Very interesting move in the NFC North.

Atlanta pick up Steven Jackson to replace the outgoing Michael Turner - mildly surprised at this - Jacquizz Rodgers had shown promise and i had them pegged to pick up a decent RB in the draft - though admittedly im not sure how strong the draft class is this year at that position.
Jackson very much a short term plug though - Atlanta always seem more visionary to me...... |
