My favorite part of the current kicking system is how FGs from under 20 yards can be missed on a regular basis while PATs are 100%.

A revamp of the system can be done when the skillset of K & P will be broadened, adding vision and intelligence into the mix (a suggestion that Pete liked afair, correct me if I'm wrong). That will involve a season of balancing anyway and until then let's make do with what we've got.

True, but this skill enhancement makes only sense once we touch the whole special teams part, as it is on todo...btw: there are missed Pats in the DB...

Very rarely. Like 1% of the time is there a missed PAT. Anything more than that was because of the kicker-PAT issue a couple of seasons ago.

My Kicker so far this season:
Made: 49, 45, 39, 36, 34, 25
Missed: 49, 49, 44, 40, 35, 34, 33, 31, 29

40-49 = 2-6 33%
30-39 = 3-7 43%
20-29 = 1-2 50%

All of those ratios are unacceptable for any kind of kicker that is being paid (Wages or Scholarship).

Very much so.
Here's a listing of the Top 33 kickers in the NFL this season:
0-19 15-15 100%
20-29 205-212 97%
30-39 261-294 89%
40-49 250-308 81%
50+ 91-148 61%

The top 9 kickers all have 90% or better over all of their kicks on the season and 6 of those guys had over 30 attempts. You have to go down to #28 kicker to find one that was below 80% on the season.

If you want, I can look at college kickers too.

That's a very good point.

I think on long distances kickers have a fairly realistic success rate. But, at least in my team, kickers fail a ridiculously high amount of short kicks.

To be fair, probably an NFL kicker would represent a player with STR 45+, KIC 45+ and, most important, EXP 5.

Our best kickers may have the skills to compare to NFL kickers, but none here has got the EXP. Hence most of our K operate on 40-60%ish of a potential maximum.

Jason Hanson probably would have Experience=25 .... but then again, that's because he's 92 years old and has been playing in the NFL for 71 years
