D improvements and balance discussion
Well it safe to say that Pete has be successful in improve the D in the game but there still work to be done. will the 5-3-3,5-2,dime,and 335 are close to where they should be against the run and pass not sure about 443 as I dont use it The 34 and 43are far far from being right. both give up way to much on the ground and the 4-3 is no better through the air. The 4-3 and 3-4 should in true be able to go toe to toe against the I formation,pro set and wishbone But right now that is not so. I use the 3-4 almost exclusively and it works well for me.
4-4-3 works better than 5-3-3 for me too |

depends on your players.
I never use 5.3 or 5.2 just becourse i dont have 5 great dl. i mostly use 3.4 or 4.4 becource my LB is pretty top notch. |

I love the 3-4.
I swapped this Season to it, using it for the vast majority of the time instead of just rarely - and all of a sudden I'm winning games.  Last edited on 2013-02-20 10:54:55 by athos |

I use the 4-3 since I do not have a lot of good LBs atm and have no problem with it. But it does seem to get a lot of bad press so there must be something in the idea that the 3-4 is better I suppose.
I just picked up a star LB so I might make a switch soon. The fact that DTs don't pass rush makes you think the 3-4 should have an edge due to that factor - you can blitz a LB all the time and still have 3 others to drop into coverage. So that would be a 3 man pass rush with 3 LBs in coverage - the 4-3 simply cannot do that. I wonder if the DEs in the 4-3 get a pass rush boost - they should! |

Don't know about anyone else but your question about import and export rules seems to have very little to do with this post, but I may be wrong.
