This usually leads to general simplification (i.e. use a few base formations often that are balanced and dont allow any extremly bad matchups) or variation (i.e. change up formations so much that a pattern is not recognizable). Both dimensions are important, being in the middle is usually a disadvantage against a scouting opponent... |

Basically ZERO at the moment. Did you game plan in season 6? Nö. If you're being serious, this just confirms the impression I have from this game: it's not about the right strategy, it's more about getting the right players. If you're fielding the right players, it doesn't matter if you have a competent strategy, you will more than likely win. |

I disagree because I've bought a lot of the "right" players and lost to lesser teams because they game planned me. Happens at least 2 times a season to me. It takes both players and tactics.

Exactly, a lot of weaker teams can upset better teams with much much better talent on the roster with the right strategy, even in the old engine. In the new one, gameplanning became even more powerful. |

I look at it like this. The more talent you have the less precise your game planning needs to be.

One needs to really beware the ratings - one great receiver on an O can mean a potent passing game but that's not reflected in the rating.

The point is, if the ball gets in that receivers hands 4 or 5 times per game then that can be 2 or 3 TDs right there. I basically lost my divisional final last year because 1 receiver broke 3 tackles on 2 separate plays for long TDs. |

Does fluctuate a bit but that seems to lean towards the higher scale of things. QB: INT 38.7 STR 38.6 SPD 42.5 AGL 30.5 VIS 39.6 PAS 34.9 WR: INT 41.4 SPD 50 STR 44.6 AGL 30.1 POS 27.3 VIS 20.6 CTCH 32.6 cba putting the rest down but if you scout my TE he doesn't even have catching 20... Dont get me started on the rest of his skills lol. My WR2 has decent spd/str, catching 20, but crap agil/pos/vis. And if you look at my results (8-1, only defeat to Buffalo) its incredible especially in SeaDevils which is easily the toughest league. I'd love to see an option to be able to double coverage a WR, someone could effectively nullify my passing O by marking my WR1 out of the game. It'd add more depth to game planning. (tried to bring it back on topic lol) Unfortunately agreeing with Hosh will probably see this post ignored edit: Forgot int Last edited on 2013-02-26 12:04:06 by holmeboy |
