I queried it because I ran some scrimmages to test medium/long passing, and Kazlauskas caught 13, and 'dropped' 57 passes in 3 games (playing for both teams).

And that was even with one game running each O as 4WR rush for 12 mins each quarter to try to set up the passes as best as I possibly could against a defense using 5-3-3 every down.

I'd say a good comp % here is about 10-15% lower than in the NFL. Like in the NFL, probably the most important thing is TD/INT ratio.

I'm quite happy with my 3 QB's. Each has a completion % of better than 55% and one of them is yet to through an INT.

Not quite, as the 'drops' stat actually combines passes dropped and passes defended by the DB.

Are you sure? If true I think those stats should be separated, a drop means the WR screwed up whilst a pass defended means the DB did a good job.

Yes I'm sure, I got the hint from the man himself...

If this is true and I have no reason to doubt JonnyP's word, I'd say it makes the Drop statistic close to irrelevant as it doesn't help to evaluate our receivers ability to catch or Drop a good throw.

What are the chances of having Drops only show the receivers # of good passes dropped and not both? Like removing the dropped passes that were over or underthrown.

That is already the case...

The drops stat is just 'good passes that could be caught'

The problem is, only some are actually dropped, the others are defended by the covering player.

Ah, so I misread it, then what is needed is something like a KL (knocked Lose) Or Broken Passes (BP) stat for the defenders. And have those passes that are KL or BP be removed from the Drops stat.

My 2 QB completion rating are 53% and 49% and both QB have 40passsing and 33vison (and growing) AND 45+INT And I do not throw deep medium form time to time but not deep. I would say this is low but the drops are whats killing the completion rating for my team anyways

But what hurts is that the drops. Mostly lack of skill I guest.
Catching skill- - rec/drops
WR 30 - - - - - - - - -67/39
WR 31- - - - - - - - - - 55/33
WR 35- - - - - - - - - - 61/23
WR 29- - - - - - - - - - 45/34
WR33- - - - - - - - - - 67/30

Oh as for early they posted about drops in real life yes WR get credit for drops like bad throws and such. But here IN RZA A DROP IS A DROP BALL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH COVERAGE OR BAD THORWS

Ok after checking again You not right, I'm not right lol check this thread out.
drops understanding

In here Pete say quote "Drop means the QB was good enough to make the pass, the pass was good itself, and catchable. But Crap-tree was not able to make a proper catch... "

Sweet, thanks mate, that certainly puts the drop stats in perspective... I was wondering why my drafted WR was "dropping" so many balls!

yeah and i was also wondering why on games vs cpu the drops were close to 0 and probably at least 2 a receiver against good teams lol
