drops understanding

In here Pete say quote "Drop means the QB was good enough to make the pass, the pass was good itself, and catchable. But Crap-tree was not able to make a proper catch... "

No, I'm 100% right.

There are only 2 reports in the game analysis for incomplete passes, these are 'overthrown' and 'the receiver was not able to make the catch'.

Overthrown - means the QB's throw was not catchable

'The receiver was not able to make the catch' means that the catching calculation failed. The catching calculation is not purely down to the receiver's stats, but also those of the defending player.

If you look at the end of game stats, every drop listed by each receiver will be an instance where the pass was good enough to be caught.

Therefore the drops statistic is grossly exaggerated in the stats, as they are not 'drops' as we imagine them to be.

I'm with you.
But, dropped or deflected by the DBs, the uncompleted passes are too much.

Yes you are right in the 2nd part say that coverage can cause drops As the WR skills did not pass the skill check.I was wrong to think other wise

But I'm making it clear that over and under throws(bad passes)and are NOT counted as drops
Other that we are all good

But I do think regress the drops are little high as only true crap WR in the NFL drops as many balls as these guys do. Pass coverage or not.
Unless there my poor Bengals they need a new WR coach to teach them how to catch again. Other than Green the receivers dropped balls left and right the last half of the season

No buts allowed.... I never said overthrown passes were included as drops. It was you who said defended passes were not included as drops.

So there was no need to make that point.

To be fair how many NFL quality receivers do we have in the game? I do feel that the completion % is a little low, but given how my WRs aren't NFL quality players I'm happy to wait another 2 seasons or so before I can pass judgement...

Does anyone have a sample from power mode in friendly cups?

How many NFL quality DB do we have too?
2012 NCAA passing statistics: the average is between 60 and 70%.

And that includes long/medium length passes too..... we are lucky to get a 10% completion rate on those here.
