We know that

Experience adds a multiplier (or takes it off , whatever , same thing) to all skills during the game
Experience adds a percentage to the players' wage
Players play games to accrue experience which uses up PC

OK so ..
Thinking about resting starters to give back-ups experience.

1. For wage efficiency - do we know what the skill bonus is in relation to wages (ie is it a 10% bonus to skills but a 10% wage increase)

2. Does the time lost on training due to having to train PC cancel out the experience boost.

Was starting to build a back-up DC for this purpose but wondering whether its a waste of time. Wouldn't be surprised if the answer to 1 is they balance out and given how long it takes to gain experience, the extra training may be better.

Do we really know that ?

Player Salaries

It seems to say :-

"The player salaries are calculated on the highest trainable skill a player has at season end.
"There is also a small adjustment based on the player’s intelligence and talent."

I don't see Experience mentioned anywhere in that section of the Manual.

The key bit is the adjustment for experience.

Pete I'm sure said its a multiplier. Eg if wages are 15k and the player has high exp add 10%, if they have crap exp then add 1% that sort of thing - numbers hypothetical.

well that might be but check this out
http://redzoneaction.org/football/index.php?page=help&subpage=manual&topic=Experience

It it say clear as day that the lower the exp for a player is the lower skill set he uses.

so if a player has 2 1/5 stars exp that means he only uses 50% of his skill rating in the in game calculations. So 30 skill rating would be 15 to the game.

so it make a difference . But not as much as it should as the game calculations weight more in physicals cap that any thing else

Yeah we know that.

But it seems to take around 4 zillion games to gain 0.5 a star. Which uses PC which needs to be trained which means other skills get less training. So its whether the experience outweighs the lost training.

It probably does but may not be as clear cut.

In my team 0.5 of EXP appears to be rewarded for 2000-3500 plays, on average.

The manual - "The highest level of experience achievable is 5* which equates to 100%. "

Notice that it does not say the minimum is 10% of skills (1/2 *) - that would be insane.

It is no doubt like chemistry - 0% chem = 80% skills, 50% chem = 90% skills, etc.

Would be great if Pete could confirm this. I've been wondering about impact of EXP for a long time.
