Lol .... No ! .... it just became easier to pass (in V2 & V3), but the distances etc didn't change.

And it's not down to the QB, as very few incompletions were 'overthrown', the highest % by far were 'drops' - until the drops stat is separated into actual drops and passes defended I cannot see whether it is the receivers' hands at fault, or the DBs which are overpowered in long/medium pass situations.

im not sure about that but I think that in the tests of v2 engine %% of completed longer passes was too high and the solution was in making DB's stronger and not making wr's weaker

Maybe I'm wrong - when there is pass completed for 10 or more yards and I see nobody missed a tackle or one defender missed(maybe not for 10, but 13-15) then I think it was already medium pass. Do you count such a passes still as short?

Look at YAC column in stats, it explains how those 13-15 yds were gained

Hard to be sure when receiver had more than 2 catches(with 2 there is quite easy, but with more it depends on many things).

Oh yes, for example, your WR Ferilli in today's match caught 2 passes and gained 13 yds, YAC - 13 !!! (2 screens maybe).
Or your Chauvin: 4 receptions, 69 yds and 54 YAC Yes, he gained 45 of his total yds in 1 reception, but even if all 45 yds was gained on the ground, there are only 15 yds gained in other 3 receptions
Bottom line: I suppose that more than a half of all passing yards is YAC.

OK. Thanks. Will try to analyse it basing on yards after catch, if I find enough motivation.

Not quite... the long passes in v2 came almost exclusively from broken tackles.

Tackling has been improved, as has safeties' coverage.

In my opinion, the coverage needs to be weaker, but the chance of catching a receiver who has broken a tackle or 2 needs to be higher.

Currently the completion % of forced medium or long passes is way too low.

In fact, I would go as far as to say the completion % of ALL passes is too low.

Increase completion %
Increase chance of zero yards after catch (receiver hit immediately)
Increase chance of DBs chasing down a receiver in open field
Increase variability of results (possible to complete for negative yardage for example)
Improve blitzing
