Poll: Do we need more guidance through the offseason in terms of financial management?, Poll closed, votes: 379

Yes, the number of struggling teams having no money to survive the offseason is a clear sign for that
230
No, after all it is a management game, and it is the managers fault not to plan including the offseason/postseason

I don't know

Anyone checked The Mag this morning and seen how many teams have been visited by 'The Bailiff' .... he's been a busy boy

btw ... I've got Zillions of virtual dollars, therefore Loans are available ..... at extortionate rates of interest, of course

We got many inquiries this offseason due financial "mismanagement". It seems we need to make more clear what happens in these 3 weeks post/offseason. It seems some people have no idea about how to handle the situation.

Even I have no idea what to tell more.

On a slightly related note, have the TM changes had the desired effect, Pete?

I know I have about 150 million less than I did last season

Yes, we burned "thousand of billions"

The real check we will have on Thursday, after the draft. Let's see if we see ridiculous prices again

Maybe you need to offer a saving scheme to save teams from themselves.

They pay 1m a week all season. Then after 20 weeks they get the 20m a week back into their account.

People get used to the idea of having 8 million coming in from the league games, then they forget (if they are out of the playoffs), that they have less money coming in and still have the same amount of expenses. I know I do.

Perhaps an extra reminder?

"Please remember INCOME WILL BE LOWER IF YOU ARE NOT IN POST SEASON, PLEASE REMEMBER TO SAVE OPERATING MONEY FOR SEASON ROLLOVER"?

Hate to sound like an ass, but at some point it is a management game and if they can't manage their finances then they aren't very good at the game yet. Lessons learned.

So we are TWO asses now

However, I added a poll, maybe this helps to learn more about the opinion of our fellow managers
