But it isnt. You can fire just as easy as before. The tax you have to pay is nothing since lets admit it that the players you'd actually fire are usually not having a very high salary. In any case you save up much more then that from going HR. Well this is important to know! From the HR page - "Please note: you can't fire players as long as there contract has not finished, but you can sell them on the transfer market." So you are saying you can fire them but there's a financial penalty related to the player's wage? And I always got the impression that a contract of any length always extrapolated to some degree and thus always had you paying a bit more (but assumed you'd train specifics so overall you'd probably pay less). I think these 2 points should be clarified on the HR page if you want a lot more people using HR. |

Next question!
If I sign a player to a 4yr contract and he's 29 at the time (so his contract begins at age 30), does this guarantee he won't retire b4 age 33? |

that is not possible. longer contract could be only made until the player will be 30 yo or less at the end of the contract. So if the player is 29yo you can only offer this and another season contracts.

With HR you pay less (franchise contracts aside) than without HR So to be 100% clear on this - My starting QB is presently on $ 27,247. Are you saying that if I was in HR mode that I could sign him to a contract < $ 27,247 for this 1 season??? Yes! No. that is not completely correct. It depends when you sign the contract. The shortest Contract is for "this and another season" So if you sign him at the beginning of the season the contract is < $ 27,247 for this and another season means 2 seasons. on "this and 2 other seasons" you pay at the first season usually a little bit more (not allways). But you safe money in the next two seasons if the best skill raise up in this time. On franchise contracts you pay much more in the first season. but safe more money in the other 3 or 4 seasons. |
