The 10% savings is actually on a higher amount than non-HR contracts. Didn't know that... I thought you negotiated against skill based wages so you save 10% on what you would have paid on non-HR. Out of curiosity, is there anyway I can check to see how much I'm saving on HR? Last edited on 2013-04-17 16:04:58 by holmeboy |

Only the overall stats in the Top 100 Salaries...there is a link to the savings
However. If he really pays 10% more he was ... cautious on the negotiations. |

Ok, I scouted one of your players at random and I'm pretty sure you made some mistakes negotiating...
He was quite one skilled: 29.7 skill and on 13.7k According to the manual his skill based wage is ~13.2k I have a guy with 29.8 in a skill but he is much more well rounded and has 2 other skills that are 28.3 and 24.3, so he should have a higher wage right? Yet he's on 12.5k.... edit: if you want to scout my guy its Karl Flynn, cb. Last edited on 2013-04-17 16:21:25 by holmeboy |

I paid exactly 90% of suggested amount (10% less!). But those suggested amounts are from the instantaneous 1year contract value of your players that happens as soon as you click HR
A very observant person will note that those suggested values are considerably MORE than the weekly wage you were paying before signing up for HR (presumably because they are not stable). This works out to a 20% INCREASE in instantaneous week over week wages. With no acquisitions and negotiating the exact 90% (10% "savings") My player wages went from 586994 to 688131, a 17.2% increase Most players probably don't bother to measure and just feel good about negotiating their players down the 10%, not realizing that the player got a significant raise the moment they clicked yes to HR |

These estimations are based on a calculation that takes training progress into account. Of course it is a difference if you negotiate at season start or short before season end. On the other hand it depends of you go heavy for one skill, or distribute training equally over several skills. Many things to consider

And no mistake
90% exact and tested repeatedly by bidding $1 less (declined), then the $1 more (accepted). You are most likely ignoring other factors contributing to the suggested wage. I'm guessing you did not do an apples to apples comparison of your wages before and after the switch.... Last edited on 2013-04-17 16:37:50 by C17Ajax |

Thats fair enough if you tested it, I just picked someone at random to see... There's probably some other factor about wages I'm missing.
Its been about a year since I signed up and HR was one of the first things I did so couldn't tell you if there was an increase or not straight away. |

Could it be that the previous financial u p d a t e was during the rollover so the skill based contracts went up? Or do they increase as it goes?
